Presales Engineer (StorageGuard)

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical advisor and strategist for the US Sales team.
  • Work with the US sales team to build and progress an opportunity pipeline, secure new clients and ensure renewals and growth.
  • Conduct the full range of customer-facing pre-sales activities, including: presentations, product demos, consultative solution selling, requirements analysis, proof of concept activities, competitive analysis, and technical deep-dive sessions to support sales activities.
  • Engage with existing and potentials customers through online and in-person meetings, and represent the company in seminars, conferences and workshops as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge as an industry expert regarding products, solutions, technical services, competitive activities and trends relevant to our business; be at least as informed as the customer, and able to quickly understand customer requirements and move a customer to the opportunity stage.
  • Perform an oversight role for large, complex customer engagements where appropriate.
  • Meet training and certification requirements for selected vendors and technologies when necessary.

Position Requirements

  • 4+ years of industry experience in a role similar to presales, sales engineering, product specialist, IT security expert, field-CTO, technical evangelist roles for B2B Enterprise software solutions for either Enterprise IT or Cybersecurity.
  • Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, especially (1) IT Infrastructure Security; (2) Enterprise Storage & Backup.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills – with either C-level, senior management, or technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or 7+ years or more of IT sales or solution architecture experience.
  • Product Development will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel (~20% in average).
  • Full-time position
  • Work from the office during Monday to Thursday | significant overlap with US time required (e.g. ~1pm-10pm)
