IT Discovery and Scanning

The RecoverGuard Data Collection engine is an automatic, agentless technology used to scan an IT environment and collect information and configuration data from key IT assets. Using  standard vendor protocols and API's, RecoverGuard can automatically collect IT inventory data from:

	Storage management frameworks  (Including EMC's Enterprise Control Center, EMC's StorageScope and NetApp's ONTAP)
	Servers (including Windows 200X, HP-UX, Sun Solaris and Linux RedHat)
	Databases (Oracle, MS-SQL server, Sybase and more)

The RecoverGuard Data Collection engine is a low footprint, agent less solution. It does not require any changes to the existing infrastructure and uses standard API’s and communication protocols to seamlessly discover and collect information from your IT environment. 

The discovery and scanning process can be configured to performs periodical rescan of the IT infrastructure and the current configuration to detect any potential configuration change immediately when they take place, and before they impact the production availability. This allows the RecoverGuard technology to detect and assess changes over time and allow for ongoing data protection monitoring.
